5. Finding a narrative for Brighton this week was tough because we were asked for a misconception and Brighton is a pretty straight forward team I’ll be real. I’ll try and make it up to the Brighton fans if I feature again but thanks for having me James despite the negativity 😂😂😂

12. I think a lot of the narrative around Newcastle is unreasonably negative this season.

    Agree with Mark but I also think there are other points he couldve touched upon.

    Firstly, it gets said about so many other clubs (like Chelsea on here) about needing to bed players in. Surely that applies to this new midfield at Newcastle too who need to time to develop chemistry

    Then there is the European distraction argument. Whilst valid, I don’t understand why that gets parroted out every time anyone talks about Newcastle but not Villa. Villa are likely to go further in their European comp than us so they’ll be distracted AND stretched depth-wise until the end.

    Finally, I hear a lot of people point to the fact we have already lost 3 and it took us until feb to do that last year. True but we also drew far too many games where we were the dominant team. that’s where we can hopefully make up points this year. We’ll definitely lose more, but you’d hope we can turn a fair few of those sloppy draws from last season into wins. We had no left wing last season now we have nice competition between Gordon who has started strong and is now up to speed and Barnes who is proven at this level. We also saw Anderson have a great pre-season and Willock is still to come back into the team who got better and better as last season progressed.
