My uncle went through the same as my father. Those who had a job returned to their jobs once their campaigns were over. Financial scarcity was not an issue there either. To summarize, alcoholism is a very complex disease which is terrible for those who suffer from it and those around them. It would have been wiser to start the video by saying that Cristiano's childhood was extremely impacted in a negative way by his father's disease. No need to speculate about the causes neither provide false information about historic events. By the way, São Pedro is not a city in Madeira. It is a parish within the city of Funchal, in Madeira.
