And how 8- years – old Ronaldo, was often taking care of his drunk dad, taking him home from the local bar, so his completely drunk, veteran father would not lose his way home. Just imagine a little child going through all of this. His father had demons, and so has he. Generational trauma.

Same situation for me as a kid and all the way up until now , having an Alcoholic father is horrible. CR7 is a LEGEND.
And that’s why we as Muslims not only we don’t consume alcohol, we are forbidden from being around it and around people who consume it.
Trust me when I tell you as a 57 year old father to five beautiful young men and women who are born and raised in America, that being a Muslim who don’t consume alcohol and don’t associate with friends who drink it, is the greatest gift I gave my entire family in America.
America, like other Western countries, is a very challenging country to raise children. My kids didn’t have to live through the hypocrisy and contradictions of parent who drink, but they punish their kids if they drink alcohol before the age of 21.

So sorry regards Cristiano's relationship with his Dad. If he served in Africa his Dad would have been in the French Foreign Legion for a spell. Like my husband. He would have witnessed terrible atrocities. Unlike my husband who underwent rigorous military training at sandhurst military school and ended up joining the British Covert intelligence branch of the SAS Or known as the Special Ai r Service Regiment. Cristano's father would possibly have contracted some health injuries and became a gardener. Many serving men ended up that way. That course of events could have brought on alcohol dependency. The poor man had no future left and sadly passed away at such a young age. I certainly feel for Cristiano.
